Basehand is live

A chat with the Hand beside a new website draft and an inbox

Today we're opening Basehand to our first businesses. Here's what's in it.

A website made from what you already have

  • Give the Hand your current website, or tell it about your business. It reads your pages, photos, menu and hours, then draws three directions for you to pick from.

  • Change anything by asking in the chat, or edit the words and pictures yourself in the preview.

  • Every change is saved as a version you can go back to. Nothing goes live until you press Publish.

Your own web address

  • Connect a domain you already own, with step-by-step help for your provider, or buy one inside Basehand.

Everything about your business, in one place

  • Locations and opening hours, a menu (with a printed version), products, classes and events, all kept as real records, so your site always shows the latest.

  • Posts and other content you write once and show anywhere on your site.

  • Upload images and PDFs to your library and use them across your site.

One inbox

  • Messages from your website's forms and your own mailbox arrive in one Inbox, tied to the contact who sent them.

  • The Hand can sort the Inbox and draft replies for you to send.

A Hand that remembers

  • The Hand remembers what you tell it about your business and keeps to it. You can see and change what it knows.

  • Talk to it on WhatsApp too, from one number for all your businesses.

  • It checks your site every day and tells you what needs a look.

See how you're doing

  • Analytics shows who visits your site and where they come from.
